He was born Aaron W. Dimmitt on June 4, 1891 to John Henry Dimmitt and Florence D. (Wilson) Dimmitt in Uniontown, Kentucky. He was one of seven children; sisters, Sadie Lee (Dimmitt) Cissell, and Laura May Dimmitt; brothers, John Edward "Eddie" Dimmitt, Henry Clinton "Clint" Dimmitt Sr., George Roy Dimmitt, and William W. Dimmitt. He married Anna Mae Mason. Aaron had a daughter Elsie Authetta (Dimmitt) Thomas by Georgia Starks from a previous relationship. He worked as a stove repairer and deliverer for Norran Furniture store in 1917 and for Sterling Laundry in 1942. The Lord called Uncle Aaron home on November 11, 1965 at the age of 74 and he was laid to eternal rest in New Crown Cemetery.
