Raymond (Sideye) Ashbaugh, 71, Golden Foundry retiree, died Monday night at the home of a son in Muncie. Ashbaugh had lived at 1707 W. 18th in Muncie for the past 10 years.
He had worked at the foundry for 20 years before retiring in 1967. He was born in Gas City April 5, 1906.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond L. Ashbaugh of Muncie and Floyd Ashbaugh of Hartford City; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jones of Mt. Pleasant, Tenn.; a brother, Oscar Brown of Galena Park, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Martha Smith of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. James Puckett at the Parson Mortuary, where persons may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 o'clock today and until time of service Thursday. Burial will be at the Beech Grove cemetery at Muncie.
