Walter Haven Fouts, 79, an Army veteran and retired farmer and rancher, and his wife of 52 years, Isabel Hazel (Bengert) Fouts, 74, a retired teacher and homemaker, died within three hours of each other Sunday Sept 7, 2008 at a Malta retirement home.

Survivors include sons Duane Fouts of Scottsdale, Ariz., Dan Fouts of Albuquerque, N.M., Chet Fouts of Turner and Arlo Fouts of Great Falls; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Walter Fouts also is survived by a sister, Grace DeSaye of Prescott, Ariz. Isabel Fouts also is survived by a sister, Shirley Ann Jacobson of Malta; and a brother, Robert Bengert of Walla Walla, Wash.

Burial will take place in Turner Cemetery.
