Mrs. Wheaton was a homemaker. Her interests included studying and collecting antiques, collectibles and memorabilia and she conducted estate appraisals. She loved gardening, winning prizes at county fairs and she also canned and quilted.
Among her survivors are her husband of 45 years Richard of Carson City; son Russell of Minden; daughters Margo Jost of Carson City and Phyllis Larson of Vancouver, Wash.; grandsons Ryan Currance of Grants Pass, Ore. and Ted, Tyler and Tim Jost, all of Carson City; granddaughters Mariah Norris of Boise, Idaho, and Shallah, Hannah and Aliah Gale, all of Portland and one great-granddaughter.
A private family memorial service was held.
Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
