Friend of Many Mexican Officials Dies at Douglas
DOUGLAS, Ariz., April 10. -

Mrs. Alice Gatliff, 60, proprietress of a cafe at Agua Prieta Sonora, and close friend of Mexican revolutionary and political leaders for years, died today from burns she received when a stove exploded yesterday.

Mrs. Gatliff's cafe, The Curio, was headquarters for Gen. Plutarco Elías Calles when he and General obregon mapped their revolution and was headquarters for him during subsequent visits here. President Lazaro Cardenas visited the place frequently when he was stationed at Agua Prieta across the International line from here, as an army officer.
