Leta A. Ambler, age 91, died on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.

She was born in Sumpter Township on May 18, 1914, the daughter of the late Albert Mueller and Dora B Accola.

She was united in marriage to Orville Ambler on August 15, 1947.

Leta was employed by Sauk Prairie Schools, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Black Hawk and the Sauk Prairie Historical Society.

She is survived by her son, Neal (Debra) Ambler of Sauk City; a daughter, Sandra (Eugene) Unger of Sauk City; six grandchildren, Brenda (Rob) Garland of Prairie du Sac, Amy Ambler of Fond du Lac, Alex Ambler of Sauk City, Nicole (Chris) Brodnicki of Prairie du Sac, Dustin Unger of Sauk City, Marissa Unger of Sauk City; two great-grandchildren, Allexus Unger and Kelsey Brodnicki, both of Prairie du Sac; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ada Federman; and three brothers, Reuben W Mueller, Erhart Mueller and Raymond Mueller.

A memorial service will be held at BETHLEHEM UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Black Hawk, at 12 noon on Monday, May 1, 2006, with Pastor Carol Quinn officiating.

Friends may call at the the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
