Wayne Patridge, 78, of Clay City, died at 5:47 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008, in Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Mr. Patridge was born December 31, 1929, in Clay County, the son of Pearl and Virginia (Cash) Patridge. He married Bernetta Watson on June 21, 1947, and she survives.

He was a retired sales representative after 30 years with National Production System in Clay City and a longtime member of the Oddfellows. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing.

Mr. Patridge is survived by his wife, Bernetta Patridge; sons, Carl Wayne Patridge Jr., Ronnie Dean Patridge, and Mark Douglas Patridge; four grandchildren, Tonya Spears, Jill Patridge, and Trenton Douglas and Tammy Marie Patridge; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Ava.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Sam and Herbert Buss.

Visitation was at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Minister Darrel Brandon officiating.

Burial was in Clay City Cemetery.
