Lenore Burns was born in Springfield, Vt., on May 18, 1942, a daughter of John and Octavia Leach Flynn. She was graduated from Heuvelton Central School in 1959 and the Ogdensburg Business School in 1960.
She married Philip W. McAllister April 1, 1961, at the Heuvelton Methodist Church. Mr. McAllister, an employe of the Rockland Pyschiatric Center, Orangeburg, died Sept. 7, 1978, at age 36.
She married Thomas A. Burns Aug. 18, 1979, in Canton.
Mrs. Burns became employed as a therapy aide at the Rockland Psychiatric Center in 1960. She worked there until returning to Heuvelton in 1980, when she began work at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center.
She was a member of the Civil Service Employees Association and the Heuvelton Methodist Church. Mrs. Burns was also an avid gardener and a former member of the 600 Bowling Club.
