| Birth: | Dec. 5, 1792 Allegany County Maryland, USA | | Death: | Oct. 25, 1881 Carroll County Indiana, USA | Elizabeth was the daughter of Adam PLANK (b. 1767) and Adam's first wife.
She married Abraham HUFFORD on March 10, 1813, in Fairfield Co., Ohio, and birthed 12 children: John, Margaret Rebecca (m. CRIPE), Suzan (m. IMAN), Mary (m. HENRICKS), Abraham, Hannah (m. MELLINGER), Joseph, Andrew, Lydia, Emanuel, Elizabeth (m. GOCHENOUR), and David.
The family was German Baptist Brethren.
Her husband owned 1,900 acres of timber land straddling Clinton Co., Indiana, and Carroll Co., Indiana. As each of their 12 children turned 21, the child was given 160 acres of land.
NOTE: In her marriage record, her name was listed as "Betsy PLANK." In her father's will (Perry Co., Ohio, 1847), she was correctly named as "Elizabeth HUFFORD"; however, previous readers of the old handwriting have her name transcribed as "Elizabeth HUBBORD."
