PFC Gurnsey W. Martin, son of Mr. & Mrs. J.M. Saylors of Rt. 2 Milford, entered the service in November 1943, training in California. He was assigned to the Marine Paratroop sector. He was sent overseas to the Pacific area in July 1943.
