Reuben F. GRIFFIN, Esq. died Kinards, Laurens County, South Carolina, son of Richard GRIFFIN, 1734-1805, and of his first wife, Nancy Anna Clark; also grandson of John GRIFFIN, 1690-1743, and of his wife, Margaret [Edna GOODE (middle name & surname disputed) ], 1706-1743....

Reuben F. GRIFFIN, Esq. married Sarah Jane Smith GRIFFIN, 1771-1851, daughter of American Revolutionary War Veteran William GRIFFIN, 1725-1791, [SAR], and of his wife, Rachel SMITH, 1719-1791, late of Carson's Creek, Laurens District, South; also granddaughter of John GRIFFIN, 1690-1743, and of his wife, Margaret [Edna GOODE].

Richard GRIFFIN, 1734-1805, father of your Reuben F. GRIFFIN, Esq. and ARW William GRIFFIN, 1725-1791, father of Sarah Jane SMITH GRIFFIN, 1771-1851, were brothers.

[King] Griffin, son of Charles Bluford GRIFFIN and of his wife, Mary KING. Testators to his will included Christopher GRIFFIN, son of David GRIFFIN, brother to Reuben's father, Richard GRIFFIN, and uncle, William GRIFFIN.
