He and his wife, Amanda Trombley Brouse , Ogdensburg, were separated and about to be divorced.
Mr. Brouse worked in the custodial department at Potsdam State University College and, with his fiance, Linda Pickert, Cranberry Lake, operated Windfall House Restaurant. He previously owned and operated a body and fender shop for some years. He also worked in the custodial department at St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center for four years.
He was a member of Cranberry Lake Fish and Game Club, an avid boat racing fan and enjoyed motor cycles and the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
