He married Virginia Bell on Dec. 30, 1939, at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. A.D. Charbonneau officiating. The couple made their home in Ogdensburg until Mr. Brennan 's retirement, when they moved to Barefoot Bay. They moved to United Helpers Canton Nursing Home Jan. 2, 2003.
Mr. Brennan worked for McConville Trucking Co. for several years. He was Ogdensburg city foreman and superintendent of the city's public works department from February 1946 through April 1947. He became custodian of the state armory here in May 1947 and supervised the National Guard facility for 35 years, retiring in 1972.
He attended Notre Dame Church and the Catholic church at Barefoot Bay. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing.
