Dies Saturday; Rites Monday


F.C. Paul, aged 67 years died Saturday afternoon at Memorial hospital. He resided at 1523 Woodlawn.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the McCamman Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Eugene E. Wood, pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian church of which he long was an active member.
A native Texan, Paul came to Corsicana with the railway express company and years later entered the Insurance business where he was active until ill health required his retirement several years ago. He was connected with the Middleton and Paul firm, Paul, Middleton and Eady, and Cooper and Eady.
Paul was a charter member of the Corsicana Civitan club, the Chamber of Commerce, Retail Merchants association and other civic organizations.
Surviving are his wife of Corsicana; a son, Jack Paul, Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Joe K. Wells, Austin; a sister. Mrs. Fred Wilson, Weatherford: a brother, Y. H. Paul, Fort Worth,two grandsons, Joe Wells. Austin, and Jay Paul, Dallas, and other relatives. Pallbearers were John S Tipton, Earl Presley. John Sullivan, Robert Davidson, Tom Eady, David Ralston. L. N. Johnston and Will Hashop.
