Sullivan was the most loving puppy that ever was.
He loved to carry any stuffed animal around in his mouth. When we would go walking in the woods with the other two dogs who were older, I would pull the red wagon and he would carry a stuffed animal in his mouth. If he was on the screened in porch and I was inside, he'd sit at the door all day and not try to get out. If I was outside, he'd push on the screen door which opened easily, and came out. He loved sitting in a white plastic lawn chair, and loved chasing the water from a hose or playing in his pool. He died of Parvo, I believe, at around 9 months old. He was a puppy that my father bought to replace Saedie who had been run over after I had only had her for two weeks.
After Sullivan, Saedie and Stella died... I thought it better to go with a different letter in naming my heeler dogs. My current dog is Grace Emanuela, "Gracie." She looks just like Stella, is as hyper as all get out. We got her in December of 2003. My father had his heart attack in April of 2004 and he died in Aug of 2004. So Gracie never really had any training from him and I was in college during that time. Gracie caught one chicken and ate it and you know how that goes, so she spends her day on a cable that runs across the yard. We take her out back (on the back 40 acres) and let her run around. I hope to NOT add her in this virtual cemetery for a very LONG time!
