Professional Football Player. He played at the center and guard positions for six seasons (1990 to 1995) in the National Football League with the San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles. He was a member of two Super Bowl championship teams (Super Bowl XXVII in 1993 and Super Bowl XXVIII in 1994) with the Cowboys. He achieved All-American status during his collegiate years at UCLA. Cornish was selected by the Chargers in the 6th round of the 1990 NFL Draft and appeared in 69 career regular season games. His father Frank Cornish, III was a professional football player with several teams in the NFL during the mid-1960s and early 1970s. He died suddenly at the age of 40. (bio by: C.S.)
