Mrs. N. F. Coffey, Resident Of Knox City Many Years, Died Yesterday Evening
Mrs. N. F. Coffey of Knox City, who has spent most of her life on Knox County, died at 8:45 o'clock yesterday evening, May 4, 1966, at the Grim-Smith Hospital in Kirksville where she had been for the last three weeks. She had been in failing health for the last few years and was 75 years old.
Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel here and burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery.
As Frances Davis Parrish, she was married to Nicholas F. Coffey in Edina June 11, 1913, and he survives with their only child, Mildred, Mrs. Mike Matticks, of Knox City. Also surviving are two grandchildren, William and Amy Jo Matticks, a brother, Benny H. Parrish, of near Edina and several nieces and nephews.
A daughter of William and Margaret Rowe Parrish, she was born Aug. 27, 1890, in Scotland County and moved to this county when she was a baby. She attended the Millport Christian Church as a young woman, before moving to Knox City where she lived all her married life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Sylvia Agnes Parrish, in 1930, and a brother, William Lawrence Parrish, Dec. 6, 1957.
