David Riley was married to Joyce Riley at the
time of his death.

David was a Corporal in the U.S. Army
during the Korean War. He served as an MP.

He was the head electrician at Memorial
Hospital in Ardmore, Carter Co., Oklahoma.

David enjoyed the Bob Will's Texas Playboys
Western Swing Music. He had become acquainted
with many of the band members. Don and Phyllis
Rhodes traveled with David and Joyce to many
of their concerts. They all enjoyed visiting
with friends and the members of the band. David
had one of the first Beta Video Camera's
filming the band on different occasions. We
shared many good times together.

David was a kindhearted man, he was always
there to give a helping hand to his family
and friends. He had been a Christian since his
early childhood.
David is missed by all who knew him.
The Don Rhodes family loved him dearly.

The Old Willis Family Cemetery has
his grandparents, parents and sibblings
buried here. It is in Marshall Co., Hwy.70,
turn on the Mead Cemetery Road, to
the end of the lane.This little family cemetery is
back up in the timber. The family of Willis
and Riley are buried there.
"Willis" was David's mother's maiden name.
The family owned the land and farm at this
location many years ago.
