Martha Jane Harvey, 87, of Okmulgee died Oct.15, 2004 at Okmulgee. She was born March 17, 1917 in Okmulgee (Indian Territory), Oklahoma to Lydia and Horace Hodge.
She was married to James Finis Harvey at Okmulgee on August 26, 1933. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Schulter Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Finis Harvey; four brothers, Ben, Harvey, John, and Leonard Hodge; infant daughter, Ruth Ann Harvey, as well as her parents.
Survivors include one son, John James Harvey and wife Sonja of Bixby; three daughters, Martha Pauline Kenyon of Eloron, California, Frances Lorene Gingrich, Chanute, Kansas and Mollie Faye Horn and husband David of Chanute, Kansas; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a host of friends and other re!atives.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Shurden Chapel officiated by Rev. George Christy. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
