Her obituary in the Bennington Banner, November 4, 1996 states: Agnes Edna Campbell, 83, lifelong resident of Bennington died Saturday morning, November 2, at Vermont Veterans Home where she had been a resident since December 1995. Born in Bennington, May 27, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Archie J. Camp & Della Dewmaw Camp. She was a graduate of the Bennington High School and the Bennington School of commerce. In 1931 she was married to William Campbell in Hoosick, New York. Mrs Campbell was employed at the Charles Fienburg clothing store in Bennington and was office manager of the Bennington Garage for four years. From 1948 until 1977, Mr. & Mrs. Campbell started their own business known as "William E. Campbell Inc." featuring Fitzgerald's Beer & Sand Springs ginger ale, they also carried other name brands of beer and wine. Agnes and her husband "Bill" enjoyed their camp at Lake Sudagwa in Whittingham for 25 years. Mr. Campbell precedes her in January of 1996. She was director and treasurer of the Board of BPI, a chapter member of the Altrusa Club of Bennington, a life member of the Bennington Club and a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ann Sykes of Fort Pierce Florida; a half-brother, Archie Camp Jr. of Bennington; two granddaughters, Joanne Peterson of Pembroke Pines, Florida and Maxine Kercher of Alemeda, California and on great granddaughter, Christie Peterson of Pembroke Pines, Florida and one nephew Theodore Camp of Bennington. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 5 at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home. Burial was at the Park Lawn Cemetery, Bennington, Vermont.
