W. F. Cornelius, 77, of Cresson, former Lumberman, is Dead.

W. Ferdinand Cornelius, 77, 401 Ashcroft Avenue, Cresson, a former lumberman and livestock dealer, died at his home Saturday morning after a short illness. Mr. Cornelius in addition to his lumbering and livestock ventures, operated a fleet of trucks in the Cresson area for some years. He was a former member of Sheridan Troop, Pennsylvania National Guard of Tyrone. His wife, Mrs. Margaret (Troxell) Cornelius and a son Lorenzo Cornelius preceded him in death. Surviving are nine children; Clifford, Mrs. Walter Brubaker, Mrs. R. L. Koons, Mrs. J. A. Brennan, Mrs. Hannah Glosser, Mrs. Phil Durst, Miss Grace Cornelius, W. Troxell Cornelius and Mrs. Lloyd Yetka. There are 30 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Cornelius was a brother of Mayberry Cornelius of Ginter, Clearfield Co., Asberry Cornelius, Bellwood, Leslie Cornelius, Diamond, Venago Co. James Cornelius, Mountaintop, Luzerne Co. and Edward Cornelius, Pitcairn. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cornelius home at 10:30 o'clock tomorrow morning probably by Rev. Nelson Thomas. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow will be directed by C. J. Troxell.
