George Bandurich, 82, of 500 North Summerfield Avenue, died yesterday in his home.
Services will take place Monday at 9 a.m. in the Charles T. Pistey and Sons funeral home, 265 Barnum Avenue and at 9:30 a.m. in St. John's Greek Catholic Church, Arctic Street, with the Rt. Rev. John J. Kostival, V.F., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Greek Catholic Cemetery, Stratford.
A panaheda service will be conducted tomorrow and Sunday at 7:30 in the funeral home.
Born in Zemplinskej, Czechoslovakia, Mr. Bandurich came to the United States in 1899 and made his home in Bridgeport the past 60 years.
In 1935, he retired from a grocery business on Hattlet and Ogden Streets and was employed by Manning, Maxwell and Moore during the Second World War.
Mr. Bandurich was a member of St. Basil's society, branch 6, the Greek Catholic union and the Slovak Catholic Sokol assembly 309.
He is survived by a son, Joseph S. Bandurich of Batavia, N.Y.; two daughters, Miss Mary E. Bandurich of New York City and Mrs. John E. Behuncik of Bridgeport; two grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
