Matthew Lee Edens, 19, passed away at St. Johns Hospital, Joplin, MO as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Joplin, MO., the son of Mark and Linda Edens. He lived in the Wyandotte, OK area until 1992 when he moved with his parents to Baxter Springs. He graduated from Baxter Springs High School with the class of 1998. He was presently attending Electrical Vo-Tech training at Pittsburg State University. He was doing apprenticeship with Interstate Electric in Parsons, KS.
Surviving are his parents, two sisters; his twin Mandy Hudson, Pittsburg and Stephanie Arguello of Baxter Springs. Two brothers; Darren Edens, Wyandotte, OK. and Scott Edens of Collinsville, OK; his grandmother, Geraldine (Edens) Smith, Baxter Springs, KS. A memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Baxter Springs, KS. Burial at Baxter Springs Cemetery.
