Pacolet – Ada Brown Petty, 90, of Rt. 2, widow of Charlie L. Petty, died Thursday in a local nursing home. Native of Spartanburg Co.; daughter of the late John and Evie McBide Brown; member of Pacolet United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women. Surviving daughters, Evie Allison of Pacolet, Sarah Johnson of Poland, Ohio; sons, Walter and Ray Petty of Pacolet. Fred W. Petty of New Ellenton; sister, Mrs. Clara Wyatt of Pacolet; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Services 3 Saturday at Pacolet United Methodist Church by the Revs. John Williams, Rufus Rowe; burial in Pacolet Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers: J.W. Brown, Rod Berry, Billy Wyatt, Wallace Hayes, Archie and Clyde Coleman. Family is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Evie Allison; to receive friends 7-9 tonight at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel.
