Thomas Skea Passes Away.
A Well Known Resident of the City Breathes His Last Thursday Morning.
____Thomas Skea died Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the family residence, No. 410 First avenue west, of a complication of disease at the age of 54 years. The funeral will be held from the residence at 11 o'clock Saturday morning and interment will be in Linwood cemetery.
__The deceased was born in Brechin, Scotland, in 1846. He came to this country thirty-one years ago, coming almost directly to Cedar Rapids, which was his home up to the time of his death. For the past twenty-seven years he had been an employe of the firm of T. Z. Cook & Laurance company, and his faithfulness and integrity had the entire confidence of his employers. He was well known to almost every resident of the city, and his family will be extended the almost universal sympathy of the people in their hour of affliction. The deceased is survived by his wife and three children, the Misses Laura, Helen and Jennie Skea. His aged father and mother also survive him. Mr. Skea visited them, as well as his brothers and sisters in Scotland, about seven months ago.

__The funeral of the late Thomas Skea was held from the family residence Saturday morning at 11 o'clock and was quite largely attended by the friends of the deceased. The interment was in Linwood cemetery.
