Emigrated 1880. In 1881 She & Jan Jansen were married in Grand Rapids. In 1920 the family was in Plato Twp., Sioux Cty., Iowa. Jan (AKA John) died in 1925. She married Willem Bierma in 1934. He died in February 1938. Shortly after that Flora moved back to Grand Rapids where she died in 1940.
BIERMA- Mrs. Flora Jansen Bierma, aged 80, passed away Friday morning at the Holland Home. Surviving are her three daughters, Mrs. William Wiebenga, Mrs. Albert Veen of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Thomas Gordon of South Haven; three sons, John and Jerry of Grand Rapids and Bert of Sioux Center, Iowa; five step children, eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:15, private, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Wiebenga, 645 Griggs St., S.W., where her body reposes, and at 2 o'clock at Franklin Street Christian Reformed Church. Burial in Rest Lawn Memorial Park.
