Surviving are four sons, Joseph and Carl, both Celina, Raymond, Toledo, and Cyril, Cincinnati; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Tenhundfeld, Cincinnati, Margaret Rosengarten and Rita Wise, both Celina, and Mrs. Richard Mueller, Delphos; two brothers, John, Dayton, and Leo, Celina; three sisters, Ursula Shearer and Rose Fischer, both Dayton, and Sister Gemma, O.F., Quincy, IL; and 29 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A lifetime resident of Mercer County, he had been a meatcutter for 60 and for the last several years had operated a grocery store at his home.
Services were at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Rev. Marcellus Fortman officiating.
