A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 2543 Redwood Ave., Grants Pass. Private inurnment will be at the Russian River Cemetery in Ukiah, Calif. Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 14, 1915, in Burley, Idaho. On July 15, 1933, he married the former Letha Irene Nowlin at Gravette, Ark. For many years he operated his own auto repair shop in Ukiah. He also worked as a private contractor. He moved to Grants Pass in 1961 from Bozeman, Mont.

Morris was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He was also a member of the Home Builders Association.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and traveling.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Iona Dashiell of Grants Pass; two sons, Daniel W. Morris of Bozeman, Mont., and Brian Morris of Battle Ground, Wash.; a foster-daughter, Nora A. Powell of Medford; two brothers, Everett Morris of Alaska, and Jack Morris of Willits, Calif.; six sisters, Elva Dumas of Citrus Heights, Calif., Lorraine Coombs of Eureka, Calif., Jessie Schultz of Missouri, Nora Tucker of Willits, Bonnie Benback of Redwood Valley, Calif., and Viola Hanick of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
