"Mrs. John C. Nevin"

Gertrude Irene Miller-Nevin, 4124 SW Canby St., died Friday in a Portland Hospital. She was the wife of the Rev. John C. Nevin, D.D., pastor of the Multnomah United Presbyterian Church.

Born in Des Moines, Iowa , April 27 1904, and educated there, Mrs. Nevin worked for 25 years in Christian Endeavor in Iowa. She came to Portland in 1949.

In 1959 she accompanied her husband on the National Mission's Work Tour through the southwest portion of the United States. She participated in a tour of the Holy Land in 1964.

She was active in her church's youth and women's activities during the 20 years of her membership.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a stepdaughter - Mrs. Laura Nevin-Sparks of Boise, Idaho &
two grandchildren. A niece and a cousin in Des Moines also survive.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the church. Private interment will be in Crescent Grove Cemetery & Mausoleum.

Memorial services for Gertrude M. Nevin, 64, of 4124 SW Canby St., Monday at Multnomah Unied Presbyterian Church. She died in a Portland hospital Friday. Private interment will be in Crescent Grove Cemetery & Mausoleum.

Mrs. Nevin was born in Iowa and was engaged in Christian Endeavor work in that state for 25 years before coming to Portland in 1949. She married Rev. John C. Nevin, D. D., who survives her, in that year.

She accompanied him on a National Mission Work's tour of the Southwest U.S. in 1959 and on a Holy Land tour in 1964. She was active in youth and women's activities of Multnomah United Presbyterian Church. Other survivors include a stepdaughter: Laura Nevin Sparks, and two grandchildren.

Daughter of Iva Jane Richards and William P. Miller. She married Rev. John Campbell Nevin, D.D.
