Peter was the husband of Catherine (Trauger) Jacoby 1763-1849

He was the son of Conrad Jacoby (Jocobi) and Hannah Reigel Jacoby

He was a blacksmith and a farmer

He was a member of the Durham Reformed Church, a trustee of the church from the beginning and later an elder.

While attending the Feb. term of court in 1815, as a juror, he was taken ill and died March 11, 1815
