Very little is known of Thomas Tinker. It is recorded by William Bradford that Thomas had a wife and son, but their names are not even recorded. Bradford notes "Thomas Tinker and his wife and son all died in the first sickness" of January 1620/21. Thomas' name is recorded when he became a citizen of Leiden (where the Pilgrim church resided) in 1617. In that document he was called a wood sawyer (carpenter). This may have been the same Thomas Tinker, also recorded as a carpenter, whom married Jane White on June 25, 1609 in Thurne, England. As promising as this may be, evidence is lacking to support the association. Thomas Tinker has no known descendants.
