Emma Eldora Nowell
(May 27, 1924 - June 15, 2014)

Mrs. Emma Eldora Nowell, age 90, of Dothan passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Wesley Manor.

Born May 27, 1924 in Houston County to the late Emory and Levada Pennington Campbell, Mrs. Nowell was a member of First Baptist Church of Cottonwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bunyon Nowell, a great-grandchild, three sisters, and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Wiggins, Judie Melvin, and Gloria (Philip) Granberry; her sisters, Kathleen Kirkland, Carrie M. (James) Chumney, and sister-in-law, Claudia (Glen) Exum; six grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, June 20, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Cottonwood with Reverend Jimmy Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in Hodgesville Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Cottonwood from 10 AM until service time, Friday, June 20, 2014.

The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Cottonwood or Covenant Hospice.
