Lloyd Clark was the middle child of Andrew and Nannie Clark. He had a baby Brother, Delbert Clark, and eldest Brother, my Dad, William C. Clark.

Lloyd and his brothers were born outside of Dibble Oklahoma. During the dustbowl he and his family left for the orange groves of Southern California. He resided there until his death.

During the mid 60's Uncle Lloyd contracted pneumonia. At the time we lived in Alaska but my Parents kept close phone contact with the family in Southern California. My Uncle came so close to death that the family was told by doctors that he wouldn't survive and to start planning his funeral. Though I was young, I clearly remember the feeling of a dark cloud over our household. Uncle Lloyd shocked the doctors and pulled through. He did lose part of one lung in the process though. He was in good health ever since.

Uncle Lloyd was a kind and loving man. He and my Dad looked so much alike that someone appeared shocked one day after my Dad left Uncle Lloyds and they noticed Uncle Lloyd was in the house. "I just saw you walk down the sidewalk and leave!" "No, that was my Brother Bill".

My Aunt Ruby passed away in 1993. We used to talk on the phone often. She knew that she had limited time left on this earth and was worried how Uncle Lloyd would get along after she passed. He was devastated of her passing. They were always together and had been married for over 50 years.

He peacefully passed away after a long battle with liver cancer. He was at home surrounded by his Son, Daughter-in-law, and precious Granddaughters. He was survived by his Son, Brother Delbert (since passed on), Sister-in-law Norva Clark, Granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews, and many great, and great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Ruby Margaret Clark, his brother William C. Clark, Parents Andrew and Nannie Clark and Step Father John Flack.

I will miss Uncle Lloyd and Aunt Ruby terribly but am comforted to know that they are both together now watching over me.

I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A BIG HUG AND THANK YOU TO KERRIE FOR SPONSERING MY UNCLES PAGE.
