Elizabeth Welles was the daughter of Capt. Samuel and Elizabeth (Hollister) Welles, born about 1670 at Wethersfield, Hartford County, CT. Married 4 April 1692 to Daniel Shelton. Nine children. died at Stratford, Fairfield County, CT on 1 April 1747.
