Hartmann of Grand Rapids, Michigan; daughters, Mrs. Patrick (Carole) Thompson of Duluth, MN, Mrs. Jay (Lynn) Lowry of Sioux City, Nebraska, Mrs. Russ (Cindy) Hurt of Port Wing, Wisc., Mrs. Bruce (Paulette) Gustafson of West Fargo, ND; brothers, Dr. Clarence M. Hartmann of Omaha, Nebraska; R.J. Hartmann of Pierz, MN; sisters, Mrs. Daniel (Delores) Waligora of Monterey, Calif., Levina Smythe of Pierz, MN, Mrs. Francis (Luella) VonderHaar of Hibbing, Minn.; 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Alex, Leo, Herb and Alphonse Hartmann; 2 sisters, Lorraine Austin and Margaret Poepping.
Funeral services were held February 24 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, with Rev. Robert Landsberger and Rev. Robert D. Schmainda officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
