Francs J. Burke, 67, of 809 44th St., Rock Island, died Wednesday, March 18, 1992, at home. Service are tentatively scheduled for Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, with a wake service at 7:30. Further arrangements are pending. Obituary: Francis 'Frank' J. Burke, 67, of 809 44th St. Rock Island, are 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rock Island, where he was a member.  Burial is 10 a.m. Monday in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, with military rites conduced by Moline American Legion Post 246. Visitation is 6 to 8 tonight at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, with a wake service at 7:30.  Memorial may be made to Lions Foundation of Illinois or a favorite charity. Mr. Burke died Wednesday, March 18, 1992, at home. He was born November 30, 1924, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Paul and Loretta Doherty Burke. He retired in 1986 as an employment-security specialist after 26 years with the Illinois Department of Labor.  In earlier years he was program coordinator for the former Model Cities Program of the Department of Labor. He was a World War II Army Air Corps and Korean War Air Force veteran. He was a member of Mighty 8th Air Force Historical Society, the 96th Bomb Group Association; Moline Lions Club; a life member of Rock Island Eagles 956, and a former member and past president of the Rock Island Evening Lions Club. Survivors include his stepmother, Evelyn Burke, Naples, Fla; a step-sister, Joyce Verhaeghe, East Moline; a stepbrother, Fred Moore, Naples, and cousins Nancy St. Ledger, Monmouth, and Keith Burke, Las Cruces, NM. Note:  Mary Lou Mee (Parker, CO) and Peggy Litchfield (Ames, Iowa) are cousins on Frank's side and survivors. Note:  the only surviving relative with the Burke name is Keith Eugene Burke.
