Rites Here Tuesday For Mrs. Cornelius
A solemn requiem mass was held at St. Joseph's church, Pierz, on Tuesday, August 8th, at 10 a.m. for Mrs. Richard T. Cornelius of Minneapolis. Msgr. E. Mahowald was the celebrant with Fr. Kunkel and Fr. Birk assisting as deacon and subdeacon.
Mrs. Cornelius, 30 years old, died from a tumor of the brain at her home in Minneapolis Saturday. Her parents, who had been called earlier, were with her when she passed away.
Beatrice Solinger was born in Genola September 23, 1918 to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Solinger. She was a graduate of Little Falls high school, and received a Bachelor's degree from the Minneapolis College of Music, and then taught there for a year. She was organist at St. Olaf's Catholic church, Minneapolis, for several years. She was married to Richard T. Cornelius in December, 1942, at St. Olaf's church, Minneapolis.
Surviving with her husband and three children, Robert, 7; Carol, 6; and Douglas, 3; are her parents, one brother, Raymond, Genola; and one sister, Mrs. Marne Nagel (Audreen), Pierz.
Pallbearers were John and James Green, Robert Michels, Harlan Moser and Louis and Danny Otten. The honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Leonard Wahl, Mrs. Robert Michels, Mrs. Louis Otten and Mrs. Danny Otten, Mrs. Ed Lessman and Mrs. P.A. Thomes. The pallbearers were all cousins of Mrs. Cornelius.
