US Congressman. He enlisted as a private in 1893 and attained the rank of major in the Pennsylvania National Guard. During the Spanish-American War, he served as first lieutenant and quartermaster in the Ninth Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. A Republican Congressman from Pennsylvania, he served from 1925 to 1927, before being defeated for reelection in 1926. (bio by: Garver Graver)
