In 1901, she married Thomas Knoerzer, son of John and Augusta Knoerzer. The young couple settled where John grew up in Hammond, Lake County, Indiana. To this union seven children were born: Stanley, Maria, Evelyn, Anna, William, Rosie and John.

MRS. MAGDALENA KNOERZER
Mrs. Magdalena Knoerzer, 230 Wildwood Rd., Hammond, died at 12:45 a.m. today. She was 82, a resident of Hammond for the past 51 years and a member of the Rosary society of St. Joseph church.
Services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. from Emmerling funeral chapel, Hohman Ave. and Highland St., and at 9 a.m. from St. Joseph church, with Msgr. Francis Jahsen officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
She is survived by three sons, Stanley and William, both of Hammond, and John of Cedar lake; two daughters, Mrs. Rose Cole of Lansing, and Mrs. Anna Bush of Hammond; 16 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
