LEROY H. DANIELMEYER, 74

Leroy H. Danielmeyer, 74 of Arlington, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of the American Legion Post No. 71 and the V.F.W. Post No. 8332 of
Arlington. Interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to services at the church.

Leroy H. Danielmeyer was born May 13, 1934 to Henry and Ethel (Hoier) Danielmeyer in Telbasta.

He drove a truck for Bell Creek prior to entering the service.

He served in the U.S. Army from August 28, 1956 to August 27, 1958. After his discharge, he again drove for Bell Creek Trucking. He then was employed by Hartford Sand and Gravel at Valley (now Lyman-Richey) as a mechanic. After
retiring, he worked part time for Hilgenkamp Farm and Dairy in Arlington.

He married Joyce Smith on August 2, 1958, at Piedmont, Ala. They later divorced.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Arlington Veterans Club, and
American Legion Post No. 71 of Arlington.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Lee O’Neal of Gretna; former wife Joyce Danielmeyer of Arlington; four grandchildren; sister Donna Dunklau of Arlington; two nephews. He was preceded in death by his
brother-in-law, LeRoy Dunklau.

Memorials are suggested to Arlington Volunteer Fire and Rescue or St. Paul’s Church.
