Professional Football Player. Born Henry Robert Margarita in Boston and raised in Medford, Massachusetts, he played at the halfback position for three seasons in the National Football League (1944 to 1946) with the Chicago Bears. He was a member of the 1946 NFL Champion Bears team. During his collegiate years, he was a standout player at Brown University. Margarita appeared in 21 career regular season NFL games and achieved All Pro status in 1945. After retiring as a player, Margarita coached at Georgetown University and guided the Hoyas to an appearance in the 1950 Sun Bowl. He later served as an assistant coach at Yale University. In addition, he was a high school football coach and history teacher.
