Birth: Feb. 11, 1806
Death: Oct. 23, 1833

Lawyer. While still a student starting out in his field, he wrote the work "An Essay on Equity in Pennsylvania" in 1826, a piece that received wide acclaim and accolades. He died at age 27.

His widow Ann Eliza Clay Laussat, would re-marry in 1841 to Judge John Richter Jones, who would go on to command the 58th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War, and die in action.
