Dora Carrington

Artist. She was trained at the Sladeschool of Fine Art and designed the wood-cut decorations for Leonard and Virginia Woolf's first Hogarth publications. She had affairs with the painter Mark Gertler, writer Gerald Brenan and married Ralph Partridge; but the most important relationship of her life was with Lytton Strachey. After Strachey's death she commited suicide. (bio by: julia&keld)

DORA, i just watched the wonderful emma thompson movie about you and was introduced to you and your life. you lived your true spirit both as an artist and person. that was not easy to do in the era you lived.the heart loves what the heart loves...
