NELSON, KARI JAN, age 41, of Hueytown, Al., passed away on January 31, 2008. Kari was one of God's "angels" and now has gone to be with the Lord. Graveside Services on February 2, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens. Rev. Frank Sims and Rev. Terry DeFoor will be officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Brown Service West Chapel. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Mossie Jo Nelson; and her brother, Jeffrey Nelson. Kari is survived by her Father, William H. Nelson, Jr.; sisters, Katrina McLaughlin (Bill) and Sheila Luther; one niece, Julie Luther; two nephews, Patrick and Ryan McLaughlin, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the caregivers that have served the family over her unexpectedly long life. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 120 Oslo Circle, Birmingham, Al. 35211. Brown Service West Chapel is honored to serve the Nelson family.
