Samuel Jack Dasher lived in Sonora for his last eight years of life and passed away at his home.

Previously of West Sacramento, he was a retired truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union for 35 years. His last employer was the Strohs Brewing Company.

Mr. Dasher served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sacramento, a member of the Sacramento Masonic lodge and the Sonora Elks Lodge.

Mr. Dasher was survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances "Billie"; a son, Samuel J. Dasher, III; a daughter, Katherine; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Private inurnment services were held at the Columbia City Cemetery.

Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
