Shari was born July 8, 1959, in Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Bates Jr.; mother, Dorothy Lowe Wood; and grandparents, Johnnie and Gladys Lowe.
Survivors: Her children, Raevyn Phelps, Jade Phelps, Amanda Bates and Johnathan Bates; grandchildren, Christopher, Katlyn, Savannah, Esai, Cassi and Evan; father, William C. Wood; aunt and uncle, Betty and Guy Lewis, and their son, Greg.
