DEATH OF MRS BAKER
The announcement of the death of Mrs Susan Baker, which occurred at Santa Ana on Friday of last week, brought sorrow to the hearts of many who had known and loved her in this county. The deceased was born at Sugar Pine. in this county, and was the eldest daughter of E Gurney, of this city. A brief few years ago she was married to W E Baker and shortly after that event they established their home in Santa Ana. As a result of a cold, the bride fell prey to consumption and finally succumbed to the ravishes of that unmerciful disease. Mrs Baker was beloved by all who knew her, and her death, occurring at the age of 26 years, was most untimely. The remains were brought to Sonora and buried i the Odd Fellows' cemetery last Monday afternoon.
