David E. Schoch went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2007, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at McKinney Memorial Bible Church, 4805 Arborlawn Drive in Fort Worth. Burial: Annetta Cemetery in Annetta. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Winscott Road Funeral Home in Benbrook.
Memorials: May be made to the David Schoch Memorial Fund, in care of Steve Schoch, 1301 Trinity Drive, Benbrook, Texas 76126.
A resident of Benbrook for 13 years, Dr. Schoch was born in Pasadena, Calif., on April 24, 1920. From 1942-1947 he served in the U.S. Army. David Schoch was in Christian ministry for 60 years as founding pastor of Bethany Chapel in Long Beach, Calif., and as a national and international speaker.
Survivors: His wife of 48 years, Audene; his brother, Paul; daughter, Rose Ann McKee; son, Steve Schoch and wife, Bekki; grandchildren, Phil Tucker and wife, Marlyn, Melissa Fleckenstein and husband, John, Jimmy Griffiths, Jacki Taylor and husband, Curtis, Rebekah Griffiths, Elizabeth Peterson and husband, Clay, Rachel Schoch and Gracie Audene Schoch; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Mckenzi and Elijah Taylor, Sophia Tucker and Heidi Peterson.
