Services will be held this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Burr Oak Lutheran Church for Robert Duane Emery, 18, Bluffton Township, who died May 13, 1963 after a long illness. Rev. Allen Hermeier will officiate with burial in Burr Oak Cemetery. Steine Funeral Home is in charge.
Memorial services were held at Decorah High School at 10:30 this morning with Rev. Allen Hermeier officiating.Pallbearers will be Dennis Wilson, Dennis Fisher, Gary Carolan, Arden Vikre, Mark Steine and Rodney Ask.Mrs. Martha Breitsprecher will be the organist.On the floral committee will be Miss Rosemary Christopher, Mrs. Art Morrison, Miss Nancy McCabe and Miss Lora White.On March 17, 1945 Robert was born to Roger and Marlys Emery. He received his early education in the rural schools of Decorah and graduated from Decorah High School in 1963. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Burr Oak.
He is survived by his parents, 4 brothers, Darrell, Ronald, Charles and Dale at home, and 2 sisters, Sharon and Linda, both at home. He is also survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Barth and Mr. and Mrs. John Emery, all of Decorah. He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
