OBITUARY
Died at Russell, Iowa, Aug. 6th, 1886, Jessie, age 6 months and fourteen days, one of the twin daughters of Will A. and Addie S. Goltry, of inflamation of the bowels. The funeral was largely attended at the residence of Geo. W. Riker. Rev. E. J. Nugent conducted the services with very appropriate remarks. Her sickness was of but three days duration, during which time she was a great sufferer, relief and mercy only coming to her in death.
How sad we gazed upon her face,
With death upon her brow,
She died so sweet, without disgrace,
But earth reclaims her now.
Pure innocence was hers, we know,
But death, a tyrant wild,
And, without mercy to bestow,
Laid low our darling child.
